Developing Your Supernatural Abilities – Answers To 3 Questions On Psychic Self-defense

Abhishek Agarwal asked:

1. Do people have supernatural powers?

The word “supernatural,” according to Webster’s Dictionary, means “beyond the visible observable universe” or “what appears to transcend the laws of nature.” However, the word has taken on different connotations today. We tend to think of “supernatural” to mean the same thing as “paranormal,” meaning not scientifically explainable. Not exactly the same, but very close.

For many philosophers and scientists, supernatural abilities are mystical powers. They call to mind ghosts and spirits and things that go bump in the night. They laugh at psychics and mediums. They discount anything supernatural as phony and deceitful.

But supernatural abilities aren’t so uncommon. Intuition is a supernatural ability. Telepathy, a trait common to many twins, is a supernatural ability. In many ways, creativity is a supernatural ability. These things are not, in fact, super-natural. They are completely natural, inherent human qualities. They lend a sense of wonder and mystery to life and make the world a magical place.

In history, there are many records of times and events when the supernatural was something to fear and destroy. Burning witches, trials during the Inquisition, even some modern persecution reveals a deep-seeded fear of anything we can’t explain or understand.

Thankfully, modern societies are a little more accepting of the concept and a little more open to exploring its qualities. Some scientists are conducting experiments to document supernatural abilities. And the explosion of television programs about hunting ghosts and exploring the paranormal support the notion that the supernatural is with us today.

In fact, we all have “supernatural” qualities, that is qualities that seem to transcend the laws of our physical universe. Each of us has at their core a spiritual energy center that radiates about us in what is called an aura. This energy field or cocoon reflects our general condition – the combination of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

To have a strong healthy aura, we must be strong, healthy people. Healthy people with good mental attitudes, balanced emotional lives, and spiritual strength have strong bright auras. People who are ill, mentally or emotionally distressed, or spiritually poor have weak dark auras. It is possible for negative people, dominated by negative energies and influences, can actually drain the energy from positive people and even injure them.

To strengthen our spiritual energies and our aura, we must rid ourselves of our negative aspects. We must engage in careful introspection to identify harmful thought patterns and negative emotions that block us from spiritual growth. We must replace those negative energies with positive energies.

One way to do that is to re-connect with nature. Fresh air and warm sunshine fill us with positive energy that overwhelms pessimism, anger, and stress. It gives us the opportunity to build our positive energies and cultivate our super-natural abilities. In turn, we are motivated to follow a healthy positive lifestyle. The journey toward spiritual growth and a strong healthy aura begins. And we can begin to develop our psychic self-defense skills.

2. What is psychic self-defense?

People use many different approaches to protect themselves against danger, injury, and harm. We intuitively know when we’re in danger. Frequently, that unnamed fear leads us to anxiety and flight. However, it is very important to remain calm in these situations.

Psychic attacks, or those times when negative energies or influences assail us, are the frequent causes of such unfocused fear. In order to prevent and avoid negative energies, we must have a strong spiritual core and aura. This requires us to reduce and eliminate the negative energies within and to nurture our personal positive energies and strength.

In situations where you feel threatened, you may be responding to a psychic attack. Your fear and anxiety actually feed the negative energies assaulting you. You must remain calm and unafraid. Keep cool and focused. Use relaxation techniques like deep breathing, focusing on pleasant thoughts and memories, and get in touch with your spiritual center. Refuse to focus on the negative, and concentrate on the positive.

Focus on your surroundings to find positive energies to support you. Rely on the power of your healthy aura to protect you. Do not allow yourself to feel fear or anxiety or you will open the door to negative power.

3. How can I build a stronger aura?

The first step in spiritual development and developing a strong healthy aura is introspection, eliminating negative energies from your mind, body, and emotions. You must look inside to see where you are being fearful, angry, selfish, or intolerant and smash those emotions and ideas. They are not real. They are by-products of the negative energy. You must cleanse yourself of these and replace them with positive thoughts and emotions. You must change your perspective.

There are many practices and techniques that are effective in strengthening the aura. First, and most effective, is meditation. Meditation clears the mind, relaxes the body, and allows you to connect with your spiritual core and your innate super-natural abilities.

Do some personal research in areas that may have seemed “out-there” before. Investigate eastern philosophies, astrology, and paranormal science. Learn what you can about the full range of human qualities so that you can tap into these qualities inside you. Join a yoga class. Investigate holistic healing and herbal remedies to rid your body of chemical medications and clean out modern toxins. Try acupuncture to help you learn to relax and to relieve pain without medications.

Fine-tuning the supernatural is largely a matter of getting in touch with the natural. It’s reducing and eliminating our dependence on modern chemistry and increasing our reliance on the healing powers of nature. It’s focusing on non-technological activities and interests and returning to more traditional arts, music, and creative pursuits. It’s learning more about the full range of human abilities and talents and attending less to what academicians and scientists limit us to.

As you broaden your internal horizons and nurture your positive spirit-based energies, you’ll have a stronger, healthier aura that will protect you from negative energies and psychic attacks.

Psychology – Intriguing Phenomena of the Mind

Psychology – Intriguing Phenomena of the Mind

http://www.yallways.com

Strictly defined, psychology is the study of mental processes and behaviors. Psychologists study everything from interpersonal relationships to unconscious habits of the mind. They also attempt to relate behaviors and thoughts to neurological processes. While most professionals in this field work within the realm of mainstream science, some have adopted a focus on “paranormal psychology,” commonly referred to as parapsychology.

Parapsychology first developed as a field in the 19th century. In 1882, the Society for Psychical Research was founded in London to promote the critical evaluation of paranormal psychic phenomena. Three years later, psychologists in the United States created the American Society for Psychical Research. Both organizations still exist today and continue to conduct prominent research. They are now joined by other interested institutions, like the Parapsychological Association, and sections of major universities.

Parapsychology focuses on several key phenomena. One of the most heavily studied is extrasensory perception (ESP). ESP refers to the ability to garner information without using any of the known physical senses. This can include precognition, telepathy, and clairvoyance. A key method of ESP study has involved sensory-deprivation. When unable to use other sense, subjects are able to test supposed ESP abilities. Results from these so-called “ganzfeld experiments” seem to prove the existence of some ESP phenomena. However, such findings have not been confirmed by the general scientific community.

Some parapsychologists specifically focus on the survival of consciousness beyond the death of a person’s physical body. Most research in this area involves exploration of near-death experiences. These refer to instances where a person has come close to death or been revived after cited as medically deceased. In many such cases, subjects describe an “out of body experience” in which he or she was able to observe the situation from outside their physical self. Other subjects have reported communicating with deceased loved ones or spiritual figures. Today, this phenomenon is widely studied in universities, such as at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and by the International Association for Near-Death Studies.

A more obscure segment of parapsychology is the study of psychokinesis, or the ability of the mind to influence physical matter. Although claims in this area are numerous, scientific study of such phenomena is difficult. One popular method of studying this phenomenon involves using computers as random number generators. A subject is then asked to try and influence the outcome of the device. Some results from these experiments seem to show that a person can influence a random event. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to determine whether data is accurate or simply the result of chance success.

Despite some empirical findings, most scientists still consider parapsychology to be a pseudoscience. They do not support supposed experimental findings, and continue to debate the credibility of parapsychologists. However, this has not deterred researchers, and parapsychology continues to be studied by scholars around the world. Some projects have even received government funding and media support. However, more experimental findings are necessary before even a single parapsychology claim can be verified.

Disproving Psychic Abilities

Frederick Gimino asked:

Psychics provide an opportunity to explore a mysterious world that lies just beyond our five senses. Opening a door to the supernatural realm of spirits and other worldly phenomenon psychics hold the key to the future that is yet to be.

Some skeptics say psychics do not exist but many experts disagree. Considering the expansive collection of unexplained phenomenon, in the world, it is hard to dispute the possibility of psychic powers.

We do know that we only use about 10% of our brains resources. So, what is the other 90 % for? It would stand to reason that it has some function. Right? So, is it not possible that somewhere, in that untapped potential, resides a sixth sense?

A sense that allowed us to survive a much darker time when man was forced to compete with oversized predators and elusive prey. Only armed with the power of the human mind, steely wits, and an opposable thumb mankind was already a formidable adversary. However, the addition of keener senses or an additional sixth sense would have made humanity unstoppable.

The ability to sense, that which lies beyond our five senses, would have been an invaluable tool to early man. It may have allowed the survival of the human species, as we know it today. However, as time went on and living conditions became easier with the domestication of animals, honing of learned skills, and the ability to form agrarian societies these abilities may have atrophied.

Our psychic abilities may have atrophied to the point that they became anatomically and physiologically vestigial in nature. The genetic combination responsible for the psychic trait may now rarely appear except aberrantly, in a chosen few, whose genotype allows phenotypical expression of the dormant trait or traits responsible for psychic abilities.

Just because we do not understand something fully does not mean it does not exist. The possibility of psychic ability, in our mysterious universe, is still a plausible explanation for many unexplained phenomenon.

Even with all of the advancements over the last 100 years there is still much debate and speculation, in the scientific community, about a plethora of topics. From the big bang to evolution scientists agree to disagree.

It stands to reason according to the scientific method that until all the explanations, hypothesis, and theories regarding psychic abilities are disproved that it must be considered as a viable alternative explanation to recognized unexplained paranormal phenomenon such as deja vu, precognition, and clairvoyance.

Some scientists studying psychic phenomenon, in children, utilizing the Zener card test regularly encounter statistically significant data that suggests more than chance outcomes at work. In fact many children regularly defy the odds by scoring 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60 % accuracy on a test with a statistical mean of 20% by chance. If that were a drug trial being run and that was the incidence of death for participants the FDA would certainly consider that significant. Right?

In addition to genetic factors that may predispose children to exhibit psychic abilities human development may hold some clues as to the reason children seem to possess a higher degree of psychic ability than adults. Human development occurs in stages each with its own marked physiological characteristics. During childhood it should come as no surprise to find out that we have the highest number of synaptic pathways that we ever have during the course of our lives. Do these extra connections provide a medium to the psychic realm? Is our brain wired towards the paranormal at earlier stages of human development due to anatomical and physiological processes that are occurring during the first several years of our lives?

Furthermore, according to Comparative Embryology during the first 6 weeks of human development, in our mother’s womb, we go through an evolution of sorts. In fact up until the time we differentiate we remain almost morphologically indistinguishable from lower life forms, in the same phase of development. From a single cell to pharyngeal gill slits to lanugo (body hair in utero) to human morphology we comparatively exhibit similar traits to our animal ancestors.

Is it possible that this comparative morphology extends past the physical development of the human body and into our development outside the womb? Maybe, our cognitive development goes through an “evolution” of sorts were the anatomy and physiology of our minds comparatively resembles our ancient psychic ability possessing human ancestors.

So, the question becomes can we disprove all plausible explanations, hypothesis, and theories regarding psychic ability. Not can we prove psychic ability exists. In addition many skeptics spend their entire lives trying to prove that psychic abilities do not exist rather than trying to disprove their own explanations, hypothesis, and theories about its non-existence. This type of objective scientific inquiry is tainted with bias and must not be considered credible.

Only when all the possible plausible explanations, hypothesis, and theories have been tested subjectively using the scientific method and disproved can any true scientist or skeptic state with 95% confidence that psychics and human psychic abilities do not exist.

Is Psychic phenomena for real?

Anthony Cox asked:

Yes it is very real , and it can be split into two basic catagories. The first would the ‘6th sense’ that all human beings and animals possess , the sense of ‘ambience’, or ‘feeling’ , or ‘awareness’, our feeling of ’self’. The sense we have that alerts us to danger, or gives us a feeling of excitement, awe, fear, etc. in certain situations even if there is no other stimulus. Then there is the connection to, and awareness we have of ‘feelings’ and ‘emotions’ from within us. Anyone with a heartbeat will know what I am talking about and can not deny it’s existence.  This level of Psychic ability actually accounts for probably 90% of what is passed off as ‘gifts’, where as in truth anyone can develop these senses to quite amazing levels. The belief that a ’sense’ must have an assigned body part is extremely narrow minded and to be honest a little silly.

To be honest, it still amazes me that some people still deny the existence of a ’sixth sense’ when not only does it account for the above examples, but there is a phenomenal amount of Scientific proof ( that is easily accessable with a little effort ) that not only does it exist  , but it is trainable. Probably the best and most well known example of masses of controlled Scientific study and evidence, would be the Remote Viewing and Psychological Warfare programs run by practically every World Government, with the most extensive and well known being those conducted by the USA, The former Soviet Union, China, the UK, and Czechoslovakia. These countries have, and continue to spend millions of dollars developing and running these programs. Although there was a ‘debunking’ program run by the CIA in the mid 1990’s in an attempt to take credibility away from some ‘whistle blowers’, Freedom of Information acts in several countries have since permitted huge volumes of research to be released, confirming what many former operatives have said, and then some…

Then we have what could really be called a ’seventh sense’. That which everyone can and does experience to a certain degree at times .That which very young children, and few truly ‘gifted’ adults have to an even greater level of sensitivity. The ability to see / hear / communicate with Spirits. This again is something that while is somewhat harder to ‘prove in a Laboratory’, is certainly very real and has been evidenced since the beginning of human history. I can guarantee that practically all people have had a glimpse of this at times in their lives, but most will choose to brush it off or explain it with ‘logic’, with inner fear being the main reason. Human beings tend to be afraid of that which they either can’t control, or can’t understand. It sometimes amazes me some of the paranormal events that  people will explain with ‘logic’ that clearly isn’t doing the job. But this is fine, everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, it is our right to free choice.

Obviously the main protagonists in the campaign to ‘debunk’ the Paranormal are Religions. This is especially hypocritical when their doctrines are often almost entirely based on Paranormal events. As Religion is used as a tool to control others, it is generally in their best interest to try and quash anything that appears to take away some of their power. A Religion should be one that illuminates people and leads to a peaceful and accepting way of life. Not slandering other Religions or other peoples beliefs causing hatred and strife.

Again, the bottom line is freedom of choice. Despite the extensive evidence in favour of the ‘Paranormal’, which outweighs much in some fields of Science and Medicine, people are entitled to believe in what they wish based on their own experience, and should not be persecuted either way.

Peace.

Autism Social Stories – Helping Your Autistic Child to Make Friends

October 21, 2009 by admin

jANINE asked:

Autistic children on the whole have issues when it comes to making and keeping friends.

Sometimes they can find themselves as the targets for bullies, because of their lack of social understanding and on occasion’s odd behavior, language and unusual pre-occupations and tendencies.

Their lack of understanding and ability to respond in socially expected ways to nonverbal cues can lead to conflict or being ignored by others. Children with Asperger’s syndrome will sometimes be extremely literal and may find interpreting and responding to sarcasm or banter difficult….And may well not understand what has been said or done.

Children with mild autism, will often want to be social, but have trouble making friends. This can lead to later withdrawal and antisocial behavior, especially in adolescence.

Therefore, the sooner an autistic child learns how to make appropriate friendships the better. It can help reduce problems, like bullying and lead to better relationships with people who aren’t on the spectrum.

It is easy as a non-autistic person to forget how complex social skills are;

For example:

• How to enter into other children’s activity

• How to allow another child to enter into your own game or activity

• Knowing when someone needs help, and how to find help, also how to get help from others.

• Giving and receiving compliments at the right time.

• Understanding about positive criticism, when and how to give.

• Being able to accept and handle criticism from others

• Accepting the ideas and suggestions of others, and what to do with them

• Controlling negative situations and turning them into a positive

• Learning how to act appropriately at home and in public

• Understanding body language, and ****** expressions

• Understanding and using “nick names”, appropriate use of words, like swear words, or rude gestures and words.

• Taking part in conversation.

• Managing disagreement with compromise instead of aggression or emotional outbursts

• Accepting not everybody will agree with you, and recognizing peoples opinions can at time vary.

• Empathizing with others in both positive and negative situations

• How to leave an activity or situation without causing offense.

Non-autistic children will learn these social skills in an unconscious and intuitive way, by observing and interacting with everyone around them.

However with autism these skills are not normally learnt in such a way, and need to be learnt in a more definite manner.

For example:

“Autism Social Skills Stories”

Social stories are used as a tool in helping people with autism focus and learn social skills in a positive manner. Skills like learning to ask questions, or how to control anger, what are nick names and so on.

Using autism social skills stories can increase your child’s ability to make and maintain friendships-by giving your child clear social cues on how to get and keep a friend.

Plus how to act in all situations and activities, making your child more confident and ultimately helping them to make those friendships they need to fit into their environment.

We all need friends, a good friend can be like gold dust, and by using social skills stories your autistic child can maintain normal friendships.
