Developing Your Supernatural Abilities – Answers To 3 Questions On Psychic Self-defense

Abhishek Agarwal asked:

1. Do people have supernatural powers?

The word “supernatural,” according to Webster’s Dictionary, means “beyond the visible observable universe” or “what appears to transcend the laws of nature.” However, the word has taken on different connotations today. We tend to think of “supernatural” to mean the same thing as “paranormal,” meaning not scientifically explainable. Not exactly the same, but very close.

For many philosophers and scientists, supernatural abilities are mystical powers. They call to mind ghosts and spirits and things that go bump in the night. They laugh at psychics and mediums. They discount anything supernatural as phony and deceitful.

But supernatural abilities aren’t so uncommon. Intuition is a supernatural ability. Telepathy, a trait common to many twins, is a supernatural ability. In many ways, creativity is a supernatural ability. These things are not, in fact, super-natural. They are completely natural, inherent human qualities. They lend a sense of wonder and mystery to life and make the world a magical place.

In history, there are many records of times and events when the supernatural was something to fear and destroy. Burning witches, trials during the Inquisition, even some modern persecution reveals a deep-seeded fear of anything we can’t explain or understand.

Thankfully, modern societies are a little more accepting of the concept and a little more open to exploring its qualities. Some scientists are conducting experiments to document supernatural abilities. And the explosion of television programs about hunting ghosts and exploring the paranormal support the notion that the supernatural is with us today.

In fact, we all have “supernatural” qualities, that is qualities that seem to transcend the laws of our physical universe. Each of us has at their core a spiritual energy center that radiates about us in what is called an aura. This energy field or cocoon reflects our general condition – the combination of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

To have a strong healthy aura, we must be strong, healthy people. Healthy people with good mental attitudes, balanced emotional lives, and spiritual strength have strong bright auras. People who are ill, mentally or emotionally distressed, or spiritually poor have weak dark auras. It is possible for negative people, dominated by negative energies and influences, can actually drain the energy from positive people and even injure them.

To strengthen our spiritual energies and our aura, we must rid ourselves of our negative aspects. We must engage in careful introspection to identify harmful thought patterns and negative emotions that block us from spiritual growth. We must replace those negative energies with positive energies.

One way to do that is to re-connect with nature. Fresh air and warm sunshine fill us with positive energy that overwhelms pessimism, anger, and stress. It gives us the opportunity to build our positive energies and cultivate our super-natural abilities. In turn, we are motivated to follow a healthy positive lifestyle. The journey toward spiritual growth and a strong healthy aura begins. And we can begin to develop our psychic self-defense skills.

2. What is psychic self-defense?

People use many different approaches to protect themselves against danger, injury, and harm. We intuitively know when we’re in danger. Frequently, that unnamed fear leads us to anxiety and flight. However, it is very important to remain calm in these situations.

Psychic attacks, or those times when negative energies or influences assail us, are the frequent causes of such unfocused fear. In order to prevent and avoid negative energies, we must have a strong spiritual core and aura. This requires us to reduce and eliminate the negative energies within and to nurture our personal positive energies and strength.

In situations where you feel threatened, you may be responding to a psychic attack. Your fear and anxiety actually feed the negative energies assaulting you. You must remain calm and unafraid. Keep cool and focused. Use relaxation techniques like deep breathing, focusing on pleasant thoughts and memories, and get in touch with your spiritual center. Refuse to focus on the negative, and concentrate on the positive.

Focus on your surroundings to find positive energies to support you. Rely on the power of your healthy aura to protect you. Do not allow yourself to feel fear or anxiety or you will open the door to negative power.

3. How can I build a stronger aura?

The first step in spiritual development and developing a strong healthy aura is introspection, eliminating negative energies from your mind, body, and emotions. You must look inside to see where you are being fearful, angry, selfish, or intolerant and smash those emotions and ideas. They are not real. They are by-products of the negative energy. You must cleanse yourself of these and replace them with positive thoughts and emotions. You must change your perspective.

There are many practices and techniques that are effective in strengthening the aura. First, and most effective, is meditation. Meditation clears the mind, relaxes the body, and allows you to connect with your spiritual core and your innate super-natural abilities.

Do some personal research in areas that may have seemed “out-there” before. Investigate eastern philosophies, astrology, and paranormal science. Learn what you can about the full range of human qualities so that you can tap into these qualities inside you. Join a yoga class. Investigate holistic healing and herbal remedies to rid your body of chemical medications and clean out modern toxins. Try acupuncture to help you learn to relax and to relieve pain without medications.

Fine-tuning the supernatural is largely a matter of getting in touch with the natural. It’s reducing and eliminating our dependence on modern chemistry and increasing our reliance on the healing powers of nature. It’s focusing on non-technological activities and interests and returning to more traditional arts, music, and creative pursuits. It’s learning more about the full range of human abilities and talents and attending less to what academicians and scientists limit us to.

As you broaden your internal horizons and nurture your positive spirit-based energies, you’ll have a stronger, healthier aura that will protect you from negative energies and psychic attacks.

Take Me to the Other Side: Moral Responsibilities of Ghost Hunters as Related to Spirits and the Afterlife

Bobby Elgee asked:

This article is an open query to all ghost hunters, paranormal investigators, psychics, mediums, parapsychologists, and theologians regarding the possible moral obligations concerning assisting certain types of ghosts–as defined as the consciousness of deceased persons possibly trapped in the material realm–to move on to ‘the other side.’

I am an amateur paranormal investigator with limited experience and many questions cross my mind, not only about the research and gathering ‘evidence’ of the paranormal, but also questions related to the moral, ethical, and spiritual aspects of this endeavor.

My question is this:

Do we have an obligation to assist ghosts in their transition to ‘the other side’?

The question is based on a series of assumptions as follows.

1. Ghosts are the consciousness of deceased humans and certain ghosts are ‘stuck’ in the material realm.

2. Some ghosts may be unaware that they are ghosts and/or they are unable to muster the actions/steps necessary to ‘move on.’

3. There is something beyond the material realm. A place or state exists that is a natural and probably desirable next step, and getting there is  necessary to complete the spiritual evolution of these free-floating ‘minds’ called ghosts.

4.  Thus we, as the living, being knowledgeable of the condition of their existence–and theoretically having the tools to assist them in their spiritual evolution–should render this assistance.

The above assumptions possibly place us–as paranormal investigators and others concerned with the spiritual evolution of our species–in a unique position to be able to provide this assistance. If the assumptions above are true and/or you believe in ghosts, to not act based on these assumptions be could something akin to leaving Kitty Genovese bleeding on the street.

If you believe that people should be altruistic–that is being obligated and willing to help our fellow humans (and ghosts)–we should seriously consider this issue.

There is research that shows that humans can be altruistic. They certainly may demonstrate this trait. We operate in groups for the greater good and are social creatures. However, there is also social psychological research that demonstrates that we are very selfish, e.g. we may only clearly operate altruistically when it serves our own needs/ideals or that of our family. We may be unique in the animal kingdom considering our combination of altruistic and selfish traits. The discussion of  these psychological and sociological ideas certainly goes beyond the constrains of this article, but they do bear mentioning.

So, when considering this question, one has to look deep into oneself and society and consider whether your answer to the question is self-serving or genuinely altruistic.

Considering the popular television show Ghost Hunters, rarely do they televise cleansing efforts, involve religious authorities or psychics specific to this issue, and it appears that their activities in regards to their clients mostly involve educating their clients to paranormal phenomena with the tenet that knowledge reduces fear–and that there is really nothing to fear. At least for the humans involved.

This is just on the surface, and TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) certainly provides more services than is discernable from their television show and  has demonstrated the capability to provide referrals to professionals and experts capable of operating under the assumptions I mentioned earlier.

Anyone that has done any background research on Grant, Jason, and Steve–the force behind TAPS– realizes that their paranormal experiences far exceeds what is able to be shown in an hour television show. For all the commercialization and debates to as to whether the ‘evidence’ they present is valid, they do deserve immense credit to bringing the realm of the paranormal–and implications on the spiritual evolution of the human race–to light and educating the general public in regards to these type of phenomena as genuine and legitimate human experiences.

Other television shows have a bent that lends themselves more toward addressing the possible  moral and ethical responsibilities that this article is questioning. Paranormal State, the team of young investigators and paranormal entrepreneurs from Penn State, definitely deserves credit for bringing this issue more to light and embracing a wider spirituality that underlies the entire endeavor.

Both groups, Ghost Hunters and Paranormal State, are clearly human-centric. The living are more important then the dead. Their needs take precedent, being the primary needs in any case. This is a premise I have to believe, as my belief in ghosts and the afterlife are unresolved at best. If a child is scared, or an adult is being tormented by paranormal experiences, the impact on their quality of life is obvious. Why the supposed ‘ghosts’ are exhibiting this ‘behavior’ is always secondary to the needs of the living..

Are we ****** against ghosts? Do we neglect their needs in support of the living? Absolutely, but this is the way it is. There is a conscious and unconscious assigning of priorities in any paranormal investigation, and whether we are ‘racists’ considering ghosts is fodder for another article, the implications of which are not discussed here.

I take this type of bias as possible indication of genuine altruism exhibited by the human race. It is one of the ways that demonstrates that we, as living humans, are part of the same family. Ghosts, by definition, are not, though perhaps they once were. Thus ghosts become the second-class citizens of any paranormal investigation. Though ghosts are the reason we’re investigating in the first place, in reality they are not. We are investigating for us, and sometimes ghosts are treated like nothing more then strange animals in a zoo where we go to gawk. Again, these issues are very interesting, but beyond the bounds of this article.

So, we come back to the original question:

Do we have an obligation to help ghosts move to the other side?

Consider the following series of questions which represent a potential can of worms related to the question above.

1. What if some ghosts choose to stay?

There are documented cases of people who are alive, astrally traveling or presumably engaging in ESP and appearing as apparitions to people, family members, or even complete strangers. How do you determine the difference between this phenomena and that of a  haunting?

Then we would need to determine the difference between a residual haunting and an intelligent haunting, assuming that residual haunting is not caused by a conscious spirit.

What’s left may be an intelligent haunting. If so, how would we decide if the ghost wants to be here, or that it doesn’t know it is trapped? What if the ghost knows it’s trapped, and believes that the other side is hell? Again, we have a can of worms here which may place us–as paranormal investigators–casting judgements that have already been decided by the concepts of God across a variety of religions.

2. How do we determine the reasons why an intelligent ghost is staying?  How do we decide those reasons presumably using the tools we have now?

3. Once we’ve determined the answers to #1 and #2, what do we do next? How do we decide which ghosts to help, and those that don’t need or want our help? What tactics do we employ to accomplish this?

So, we are left with a series of questions that are very important, addressing the basic premise of what it is to be human–and to be a ghost–and our obligations and responsibilities as to what that means. Ranging from theology, spirituality, psychology, to the tactics of ghost hunting, this “hobby” certainly generates questions–and possibly answers–that may affect all of the human race.

I have no answers, only questions. However, in my quest to become a more competent paranormal investigator, I believe the techniques and technology are the relatively easy questions to address. The questions behind why we are employing such tactics–the difficult part in my opinion–and our eventual goals become very important for all ghost hunters to consider.

I firmly believe that we cannot flail blindly in the dark when dealing with such questions. I think, whether we believe in ghosts or not, we do have an obligation to help them if they need it. Not to do so makes you less human in my opinion. And, I feel that many groups neglect these questions or when they are addressed, it is done so in an cursory and self-serving way. I certainly do not exempt myself from this, and perhaps writing this makes me a hypocrite.

In my opinion, there are many obstacles in the way of developing any type of consensus in these matters. One of the main obstacles is inconsistent use of language and even a basic ignorance, and perhaps disagreement, in regards to various terminology.

For example, many groups state that their goal is to find proof of the paranormal. This is a misnomer. The fact is that paranormal phenomena does exist. I define paranormal as something that is currently unexplainable by science. There is plenty of phenomena that is unexplainable by science, as every scientist will tell you.

One needs to clearly define the words they are using if they pretend they are doing something remotely resembling scientific research. If everyone uses the same word in a different way, no one has any idea what anyone is talking about. In scientific research, one doesn’t generally have to worry about this. In the field of paranormal investigation, I feel this problem is pervasive.

Some groups clearly state that their goal is to prove the existence of the afterlife or life after death. These groups come more closely to presenting themselves in a way that elucidates their goals. But what exactly are their goals?

Lets be frank, no one is probably ever going to prove the existence of the afterlife in the foreseeable future. A lofty goal, sure, but one in all likelihood is probably  unobtainable. Setting realistic goals is important in any endeavor, and ghost hunting is no different. Perhaps setting such an all encompassing goal undermines the method, and the ability to work toward obtaining this goal.

Running around, taking strange photographs, capturing audio of unexplained voices, and documenting cold spots and spikes in EMF activity may not be advancing the body of knowledge toward proving the afterlife in any meaningful way. However, at this point, these are some the most popular tools we have.

If you do want to prove the existence of the afterlife, and you capture some evidence of what you feel is a ghost, how come most people just walk away from it? They put the picture on their Web site and show it off, with little regard to the ghost itself. Even worse then that, they may return to the location–even bringing in more investigators–in an attempt to capture further ‘evidence.’ And yet, what is done as far as attempts to determine why the ‘ghost’ is there and what can be done to help it’s spiritual evolution? Again, this unfortunate spirit is reduced to an exhibit, a zoo animal, and something to be harassed.

There has to be more then that, and as a ghost hunter or paranormal investigator, especially if you believe in ghosts, you should do something about it, and hopefully something that will help on a spiritual level. Otherwise, in my opinion, you are nothing better then a tourist and an amateur, and are solely thinking of your own needs and desires. In other words, you are being self-serving.

Many groups are very committed to debunking. In my mind, these groups have less of an obligation to assist these disembodied spirits. For myself, I am not convinced of the existence of ghosts. The paranormal phenomena I have captured evidence of is simply that in my mind. It’s paranormal–unexplained by science. Subsequently calling such phenomena a ghost is a leap of faith I can’t make with any degree of certainty at this time. Thus, I’m fairly comfortable not attaching any spiritual implications or obligations to any such phenomena.

Until I am actually convinced that there are such things as ghosts, I don’t necessarily feel any obligation to take further steps beyond just trying to figure out what “it” is. However, I do articulate this, and don’t run around identifying such phenomena as ghosts, then do nothing about it. Also, I do work with people who study these aspects of paranormal investigations, and feel that they have the skills to address these aspects if necessary.

Of course, I may be wrong and self-serving and–in an effort to justify my actions and reconcile them with my thoughts and opinions on the subject–may be neglecting a very important piece of the puzzle. In fact, I have a nagging feeling in the back of my head this may be the very case.

Given the original premise of this article, ghost hunters become elevated to a unique group– a group who has to have an understanding of human psychology, culture, and spirituality, and be able to offer advice and take action concerning a spirits spiritual well-being.

The field of paranormal investigation will evolved only  if people consider the basic questions, motivations, and drives beyond just capturing evidence. Look at the original question underneath it all…why do we do this?

To take a basic tenet of ethics, one must first do no harm. Regardless of whether ghosts exist–and by default this implies the existence of an afterlife–I sincerely don’t believe that most paranormal investigators are causing any harm. But if one does consider the spiritual implications regarding helping a trapped spirit, we are acting on a body of imperfect knowledge, and thus by doing so, perhaps could cause harm if we aren’t very careful and thoughtful in our methods.

So, are there any answers in this article? Probably not, but there are many questions and the half-baked musings of an amateur ghost hunter who may just be in over his head.

April Fools Day – The Psychic Connection

Allison Mac asked:

For most of us around the world we know April Fools day to be a day of pranks and trickery. It can be great fun to trick someone into believing something that isn’t true. James Randi however takes this one step further and what many may not know is that April Fools day is also the day that the Pigasus Award is announced.

The Pigasus Award has gone as far back as 1979 and is given annually by James Randi who is a noted skeptic of psychic energy. The award seeks to expose paranormal, parapsychological or psychic frauds that have been noted over the previous year. Appropriately given on the first of April, Randi awards the trophy to candidates chosen by himself from a list of nominees.

The trophy has been noted as being a stainless steel spoon bent in a curve and supported by a plastic base. It is flimsy at best and done so on purpose. There is also a plaque with a flying pig on it. Randi has stated sarcastically that the winners are published immediately after being announced on April Fools and are notified telepathically. He has also said that the famous Flying Pig trophies are sent via psychokinesis and if not received then it is probably due to their lack of paranormal talent.

Though the Pigasus awards are not done every year, there is a long list of recipients spanning from 1979 including famed psychics Nostradamus, John Edward, Sylvia Browne and Allison DuBois. The White House has also been a winner. For a complete list of other famous recipients visit Wikipedia and search Pigasus Award.

April Fools day may be a day of pranks and laughter for some. For James Randi however it is an opportunity to ridicule some poor unsuspecting person or institution that he feels has promoted fraudulent paranormal claims. To all of us who are believers in psychic energy – beware of the Pigasus award!  As an April Fools day joke from Randi, it may telepathically wind up on your doorstep.

Find out who the winners of the 2009 Pigasus Awards are and decide for yourself whether their psychic claims are real or a hoax.  A complete list of recipients can be found at YourPsychicResource.

Disproving Psychic Abilities

Frederick Gimino asked:

Psychics provide an opportunity to explore a mysterious world that lies just beyond our five senses. Opening a door to the supernatural realm of spirits and other worldly phenomenon psychics hold the key to the future that is yet to be.

Some skeptics say psychics do not exist but many experts disagree. Considering the expansive collection of unexplained phenomenon, in the world, it is hard to dispute the possibility of psychic powers.

We do know that we only use about 10% of our brains resources. So, what is the other 90 % for? It would stand to reason that it has some function. Right? So, is it not possible that somewhere, in that untapped potential, resides a sixth sense?

A sense that allowed us to survive a much darker time when man was forced to compete with oversized predators and elusive prey. Only armed with the power of the human mind, steely wits, and an opposable thumb mankind was already a formidable adversary. However, the addition of keener senses or an additional sixth sense would have made humanity unstoppable.

The ability to sense, that which lies beyond our five senses, would have been an invaluable tool to early man. It may have allowed the survival of the human species, as we know it today. However, as time went on and living conditions became easier with the domestication of animals, honing of learned skills, and the ability to form agrarian societies these abilities may have atrophied.

Our psychic abilities may have atrophied to the point that they became anatomically and physiologically vestigial in nature. The genetic combination responsible for the psychic trait may now rarely appear except aberrantly, in a chosen few, whose genotype allows phenotypical expression of the dormant trait or traits responsible for psychic abilities.

Just because we do not understand something fully does not mean it does not exist. The possibility of psychic ability, in our mysterious universe, is still a plausible explanation for many unexplained phenomenon.

Even with all of the advancements over the last 100 years there is still much debate and speculation, in the scientific community, about a plethora of topics. From the big bang to evolution scientists agree to disagree.

It stands to reason according to the scientific method that until all the explanations, hypothesis, and theories regarding psychic abilities are disproved that it must be considered as a viable alternative explanation to recognized unexplained paranormal phenomenon such as deja vu, precognition, and clairvoyance.

Some scientists studying psychic phenomenon, in children, utilizing the Zener card test regularly encounter statistically significant data that suggests more than chance outcomes at work. In fact many children regularly defy the odds by scoring 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60 % accuracy on a test with a statistical mean of 20% by chance. If that were a drug trial being run and that was the incidence of death for participants the FDA would certainly consider that significant. Right?

In addition to genetic factors that may predispose children to exhibit psychic abilities human development may hold some clues as to the reason children seem to possess a higher degree of psychic ability than adults. Human development occurs in stages each with its own marked physiological characteristics. During childhood it should come as no surprise to find out that we have the highest number of synaptic pathways that we ever have during the course of our lives. Do these extra connections provide a medium to the psychic realm? Is our brain wired towards the paranormal at earlier stages of human development due to anatomical and physiological processes that are occurring during the first several years of our lives?

Furthermore, according to Comparative Embryology during the first 6 weeks of human development, in our mother’s womb, we go through an evolution of sorts. In fact up until the time we differentiate we remain almost morphologically indistinguishable from lower life forms, in the same phase of development. From a single cell to pharyngeal gill slits to lanugo (body hair in utero) to human morphology we comparatively exhibit similar traits to our animal ancestors.

Is it possible that this comparative morphology extends past the physical development of the human body and into our development outside the womb? Maybe, our cognitive development goes through an “evolution” of sorts were the anatomy and physiology of our minds comparatively resembles our ancient psychic ability possessing human ancestors.

So, the question becomes can we disprove all plausible explanations, hypothesis, and theories regarding psychic ability. Not can we prove psychic ability exists. In addition many skeptics spend their entire lives trying to prove that psychic abilities do not exist rather than trying to disprove their own explanations, hypothesis, and theories about its non-existence. This type of objective scientific inquiry is tainted with bias and must not be considered credible.

Only when all the possible plausible explanations, hypothesis, and theories have been tested subjectively using the scientific method and disproved can any true scientist or skeptic state with 95% confidence that psychics and human psychic abilities do not exist.

Are We Heroes?

Higher Balance Institute asked:

What is mankind’s fascination with the paranormal and mystical really about? Is it a reoccurring fantasy of role playing that we have indulged ourselves in for millennia, or is it something much deeper that beckons us?

Let us explore the realm of the real super hero in all of us. Let us explore the possibilities of perception that will peel back the very veils of reality. Does something sleeping within us wish to awake?

How many of us play online games like World of War craft or Dungeons and Dragons? We’ve all seen a host of these games over the years. Every one of them speaks of magic and abilities ranging from weather manipulation, mesmerizing our enemies, casting spells that confuse our opponents, to having special magical sight and powers!

Seeing mankind’s innate desire to have more than just the ordinary perception of reality is as old as the Shamanic rituals of ancient times. From the peyote ceremonies of the Navajo Indians to the psychedelic movement of the 60’s we can see a recurring pattern in mankind’s quest to unveil a world more mystical.

What is this insatiable romance we have with the mystical? For eons man has wished to be inundated with mystical powers of the clairvoyant to the psychic, the psychokinetic to the prophetic.

However the reality of hokey psychic hotlines and parlor psychics are unfortunately something we see every day. But what if all of our curiosity and intrigue into the world of the paranormal and mystical, were really the subtle voice of something within us that mankind stopped using long ago?

The Sixth Sense. Every person has the ability to develop something within themselves that will literally change the way they see reality. Does it sound too incredible to be real? Twenty years ago remote viewing was a term only a few conspiracy theorists even knew.

Today the concept of remote viewing like in the movie Subject Zero, or the newest programs on psychics who find missing people are as common as a trip to the video store, or a Thursday evening on the Discovery Channel.

The truth of the matter is we are all fascinated by the possibility of becoming more than the ordinary selves we see each other as from day to day. All the more reason comic book characters typically have abilities that go far beyond the five senses.

The answer we seek is found by de shrouding the romantic from the practical. While not everyone is going to start of as a Nostradamus we all have had premonitions about things in our lives that were perhaps eerily accurate. We have all thought about someone only to have them call a few seconds later. We have even had dreams that have come true. Do these things wash themselves away during the bustle of our day to day life, or are they glimmers of something real?

Perhaps these common synchronicities are the first whispers of a dormant sensory? This sensory that in primitive times, when we didn’t have the tools, technology, or brain power to navigate us through life, was the dominant survival mechanism. Lets us imagine that that unused mechanism is still there, in the recesses of our consciousness subtly using its voice and giving us the clues we need to bring it forth.

The bottom line is that man has always been fascinated by the mystical, magical and the paranormal! From movies like the Matrix to X men, to popular television series like Heroes we have always thirsted for the unknown and unbelievable. Is there a hero in all of us? Perhaps we are simply listening to a long silent inner voice that is clamoring for its return to a place in our conscious minds once again!

Seldom, it’s hard to live with uncertainty especially when you expect for sooner outcomes. A simple decision making for a new business or for a new professional career still demands for thorough focus and attention. Also, doubts and pressures cannot be avoided as these are part of the trials associated with successful and well-defined solutions. But each hidden-in-disguise positive details entailed to these roller-coaster-ride for success in business and working career are well-hidden and superficially cognitive for an ordinary person to understand. Thus, a little help from experts becomes the most popular and viable resort.

Psychic that offers advice for a healthy lifestyle and personality development are some of the proven consultation solutions. Not only they can provide a quantity of positive options of success route, but also a variety of procedures to ponder oneself towards the best possible goals. A good businessman, for example, can be advised to make choices as to where and which corporation and type of business he will succeed and how and when he can hit a good start.

The generalized perceptive and divination power of most psychics are indeed reliable for advising open-minded preferences. Their being integrated to all sorts of fields is advantageous as being an all-around expert. Being a professional psychic also indicates their well-molded concepts and principles like a wise and well-experienced veterans. Their rich knowledge about lifestyle, paranormal mysteries and human commonalities and peculiarities further enhanced their intuitive and predicting capabilities.

Sometimes, accuracy of their prediction assumes greater impact to their name as their only valuable virtue. This implies their professionalism and being knowledgeable on the of divination though, most-often-the-not, special psychics are inborn gifts that pondered naturally through years of physical and spiritual growth. Their being popular and having notable skills become the signature of their identity as an spiritual and paranormal expert.

Apart from their fluent perspective on ghost and other supernatural entities, they are also famous for their great devotion and erudition from astrology and numerology. The usage of astrological sign or star signs and number language are one of their known expertise and that add up to their psychic capabilities. In fact, in most cases, astrology and numerology are their bases for positive advising and interpretation of one’s future and progress path. Every specific instances of a person’s life are believed to have strong connections from the star and planet movements. Therefore, psychics cognition on this discipline is a great advantage whenever providing accurate prediction and inspiration for the client as for love life or career.

So if a person happens to ask for a psychic advice, he is definitely in for a broader branch of knowledge known to man that started from ancient years. The conditional and foretelling approach of their psychic services give most clients their new and constructive approach in living. A good basis for how people cope up with the greater challenge an ordinary man cannot handle, matter-of-factly.

Your Spiritual Paranormal Toolbox

I wanted to talk about the things that could or should be in the tool box of psychics, paranormal investigators, seekers of spiritual awakening, healers and those looking to experience the most of what life has to offer. One must have the right tool for the job or it makes life very difficult.

What tools are available to the spiritual or paranormal seeker? Having the right tools in your toolbox could mean the difference between success and failure. Are you well prepared enough for your journey?

I wanted to talk about the things that could or should be in the tool box of psychics, paranormal investigators, seekers of spiritual awakening, healers and those looking to experience the most of what life has to offer. One must have the right tool for the job or it makes life very difficult.

1. Awareness. Without awareness you aren’t going to accomplish much. Man walks around in a sleep throughout his day, he thinks he is aware but in reality he is more like a complex organic robot than a free thinking being. The more you can be aware of, both internally and externally, more choice you have to guide the direction of your life.

2. A developed 6th sense. When communicating with entities, doing a healing, getting premonitions, scanning or any other energy related activity, it is your 6th sense that is going to be your primary means of receiving data. Like your muscles, if your 6th sense is out of shape from lack of use or lack of development, the amount and clarity of information you receive will be greatly lessened.

3. Non Thought. A good grasp on non thought is essential to doing any effective spiritual work. If you are unable to control the babble in your head you will be unable to hold your concentration long enough to manifest, communicate with entities, astral travel or anything else.

4. Meditation. Meditation is the cornerstone of all spiritual and paranormal work. It is the foundation that all other techniques and knowledge rest on. The correct type of meditation is essential to developing non thought and storing up prana to use for your 6th sense abilities.

5. Scanning. Scanning is the ability to know things about people or your environment. Good scanning requires non thought and is a foundational 6th sense ability. Scanning is a requirement for anyone interested in ghost hunting.

6. Assimilation. With assimilation you actually become the object or being you are trying to get information about. Scanning is a quick overview, assimilation is a more focused and concentrated application for a single object or being.

7. Feels like. By taking scanning to the next level, you learn the language of “feels like”. Everything in the universe has a unique frequency and hence a “feels like”. This language can be learned and used in all areas of life.

8. Energy Movements. The more you are able to feel and work with your own energy, the more you will be able to feel other energy and work with it. Like your muscles, if your energy bodies are not exercised, they wither and deteriorate. “What you don’t use, you lose.”

9. High Guard. High Guard is the art of energy defense. Anyone going ghost hunting should know that they can be attacked on an energy level by entities. Knowing how to defend yourself is key. High Guard also has many applications for defense and well being when dealing with people and every day life as well.

10. Telepathy. To communicate without words is a very handy skill not only in ghost hunting (where its essential) but also when learning to communicate as energy. Energy beings do not have vocal chords to talk with, they use telepathy and “feels like” to communicate.

11. The In-Between. The In between is the place where matter and energy converge to become one another. Having the ability to move into this space of consciousness is what has allowed the masters of old to accomplish the miracles you have always read stories about.

12. Astral Projection/Remote Viewing. How wonderful it is to be able to explore the universe without having to leave the privacy of your own house. Projection is a great way to gather information or take a quick vacation.

13 Surrender. Surrender is an essential tool for spiritual development. The secrets of the Universe cannot be taken or stolen, they must be given. Learning to operate in the state of surrender allow the Universe to unfold for you in ways you cannot possibly imagine. Very potent stuff.

14 The Tones of God. The tones are the frequencies of God that can be heard when silence is deafening. These tones can be heard anywhere by anyone and within them lies a secret that masters have kept secret for thousands of years. The secret of bending time and space.

15 Psychometry. Psychometry is the ability to scan an object and gather information about it or its owner.

16 Photometry. Photometry is similar to scanning except photographs are used instead of objects.

17 Dimension Walking. Dimension walking is the ability to shift your consciousness to the left and perceive the dimensional components of life that we are normally unaware of. One can see portals, dimensional energies and structures with this technique. This techniques is related to the In-Between.

18. Time Stepping. Time Stepping is the technique of setting up a feedback loop with your past and future selves in order to give yourself premonitions or change aspects of your past.

19 Water of Life. The Water of Life is a technique to absorb massive amounts of prana and raise your tonal significantly in a short amount of time. This 15 minute technique will greatly assist you in storing up prana to be used for other psychic techniques.

20. Ties that Bind. Objects can be programmed to have a specific intent and therefore a specific effect on a person or an environment.

Psychic Chat Online – Popular Believe and Technology

Psychic readings have been around for a very long time and there are many techniques used by people who have psychic abilities in order to interpret someone’s fortune. The abilities these individuals have are often referred to as extra sensory perception, this is basically the gift of being able to perceive things that a normal person would not be able to using only the five senses.

This information may be hard to believe to some, however recent studies performed by the Gallup organization have shown that over 41% of the random American population sampled do in fact believe in some sort of extra sensory perception, an additional 26% of those interviewed said to believe in clairvoyance and furthermore a whopping 31% of those interviewed believed in psychic communication and even telepathy; these numbers leave out a 2% of those interviewed were skeptical to the whole concept in the first place.

Some people may argue that those who believe in psychics or paranormal ideas may not be very well educated however, such an argument can be easily thrown into question if we take in consideration a 2006 study conducted by researchers from the University of Oklahoma, who used a total of 439 college students on a poll in order to find out what was a percentage of students who believed in psychic phenomena. According to the results, seniors (who are usually consider more educated) were more likely to believe such concepts than the average freshman, these poll shows that over 31% of the college seniors who participated in the poll believe in psychics or paranormal ideas just as 34% of graduate students.

These numbers lead us to believe that the lack of education and general knowledge doesn’t necessarily explain the very popular belief in extra sensory perception or the world of the paranormal.

Taking these ideas, studies and concepts in consideration and can see why online psychic readings have become more popular over the years as technology changes the way we communicate with each other, the people are obviously more educated as time goes by, new concepts and technological advances are taught to us as well as information about the spiritual realm, this combination has obviously opened the doors for people who have questions regarding their lives and future to come into contact with those who can provide an answer to their concerns, and as we have previously stated these are known as the psychics.

Today, just about anyone is able to get in touch with a psychic used in the web, this activity is referred to as psychic chat online, this way of consultation turns out to be quite convenient to the great amount of people who believe in this concepts because they are able to get more information about the background, knowledge and specialties of the person they are talking to instead of being redirected for the first-person who becomes available on a phone consultation.

Frauds in the Metaphysical Field Part 2

Leonard Lee asked:

Another indication of the metaphysical fraud concerns the matter of apparel. Psychic cheaters normally wear robes and turbans and other fancy costumes to give the impression to people and their prospective clients that they are different, sacred or holy in some way. The moment we meet such psychics our gullible subconscious minds are influenced negatively unless we take the appropriate measures of protection among which is to rationalize the situation and to see through their deception. Let it be known that true modern saints or genuine metaphysicians, in general, do not wear apparel any different from the norm. They dress the way ordinary human beings dress taking into account environmental factors and culture. One of the most important principle to keep in mind is that true metaphysicians or saints would never direct attention to themselves. Their words, mannerism, and behavior are free from the taints of the false ego.

It is important to realize that most psychics, whether fraudulent or genuine, when given the chance will play upon the fears and worries of clients. They would strengthen a client’s belief that all that they fear are true and more besides, and that the only way out of their dilemma or problem is to apply the directions of the paranormal which usually involves emptying the purse. Often they would declare how negative you are or how you are so filled with negative energies and that with their “great powers” they would purify you and help you succeed in overcoming all that is counterproductive to your welfare–but with a certain reward, of course. At times they will say that you will have a potential problem in a certain bodily organ and to prevent it from manifesting they will balance the situation for you–for a fee. Although the detection of an unbalanced situation in one’s bio-energy field is a possibility, many so-called psychics dupe the public as to their ability to do this. They only cause unnecessary concern over dangers that do not exist.

Beware of those psychics that advertise the “testimonies” of their “clients,” (normally celebrities) to support their claims of power, talent or the effectiveness of their services and products. These statements often appear in print in the mass media and are mostly unwarranted.

You will also find many psychic frauds on the Internet. When requesting a psychic reading, psychics in the Net will send you a stereotype profile reading that would apply to any Tom, **** or Harry. If one would reason it out one would come to realize that it would be impossible for any human being to cater or to devote their undivided attention to hundreds of persons requesting a psychic reading in a single day. The only resort left for these psychics is to present something applicable but spiritually meaningless to all. The daily or weekly horoscopes to be found in magazines are of these sort as well. Psychic frauds or those who are under the influence of self-deception often make bombastic claims in their advertisements but offer very little of soul-worth. Here we do not comment on the reality of psychicism, of magical forces, of subtle energies. We know that they do exist and are real to those who are able to perceive them; basically, what we are opposed to are psychics and frauds taking advantage of the ignorance of their fellow men.

Paranormals and low-caliber metaphysicians have the tendency in making their clients overly dependent upon them, their services and their products. Even spiritual teachers fall into this trap. They allow their disciples to lean too much upon them. The Master Jesus once said to his disciples that he had to leave them at a certain time, for if not, the “comforter” would not come. He meant by this that if he did not leave them, and that if his disciples depended too much upon him for their spiritual sustenance, they would not spiritually mature and that they would not acquire a higher awareness and understanding through personal effort and experience. True metaphysicians teach one not to be overly-dependent upon anything artificial and external for one’s well-being. It is wholly vital that we resort to an internal resource or be dependent upon our inner Source, our true Self–the part of God within us for our spiritual nourishment.

The object of metaphysical service is to facilitate the spiritual growth of humanity. This principle is constantly being violated, however. Unaware of spiritual values and purposes, psychics simply deliver goods that in the long run stall the evolution of man. Their services do not promote spiritual unfoldment or the manifestation of the Christ Consciousness. In this they are no different from those who implement the practices of hedonism and materialism. For instance, one of the paranormal practices is the insertion of implants to manifest charisma, charm, power, fascination, etc. Indonesian psychics call these implants, “susuk.” It is not too often realized that the power of these implants are temporary in nature notwithstanding the statements of some psychics as to the contrary. Energy by its very nature is in a constant state of flux and may be modified, changed, or transmuted. All organisms are constantly radiating energy and this influences whatever it comes into contact with, so an implant imbued with a certain force may unwittingly be transmuted or neutralized by the person who has it inserted into him. Now even-though such implants may contain and radiate power, the persons given such a force may not want to undergo the necessary character-building and metaphysical disciplines that would eventually give them what they seek and consequently, progress spiritually. For they presume that what they need already exists in them with the presence of the implant. However, it should be noted that the power derived from an artificial source is ephemeral and the total reliance upon it directs us away from the spiritual path. It makes one self-complacent and slothful. We should acquire the qualities or conditions that we seek through personal effort. Implants, talismans, and such are simply aids to help one–they are not to be totally relied upon. Their use should be rightly understood if they are to be of true worth to us. Please note here that we are not disapproving the practice of making or bearing talismans or acquiring magickal powers–in fact we present such things on our site. Our intent is to explain the right attitude to be adopted.

The Dark forces wish humanity to stagnate in its soul progression. It will not have humanity improve its spiritual status. Thus anything that stalls evolution or hinders man from treading the Spiritual Path is the work of the Fallen Ones. Psychic wares can degenerate into instruments of the Dark forces. Those who are inclined to experiment with the wares of paranormals should do so with the right understanding and perspective.

Pseudo-psychics have their confederates. They often have their minions search for gullible persons whom they may influence and manipulate. By persuasive speech henchmen of pseudo-psychics convince their prey how powerful and wise a certain paranormal (their boss) is. Various tricks are used. Information concerning a certain potential client may be acquired before hand and then conveyed to the “psychic.” When the client visits the psychic, he is astonished that the so-called seer knows everything about him.

Sleight-of-hand, hidden gizmos, and gadgets are often used in the “healing” of a patient/client of a psychic malady, or to prove the existence of the psychic’s innate powers. Since the belief in transferred, malicious etheric implants (”santet” in Indonesian) are taken for granted among the lower class, tricks and deceptions are frequently resorted to in order to convince the patient that an object had been taken out from the patient’s body; and this is supposed to be the cause of an illness. Often a healing may well take place using such quackery since a large percentage of cases of illnesses have a psychosomatic origin or are caused by abnormal thoughts and feelings, and these respond to the shaman working within the patient’s belief frame-work. Such healings are based upon the principle of suggestion.

Psychic healers may boast that a patient of theirs may have been to every kind of healer, undergone every form of therapeutics, and yet no healing took place until the individual came to them to be “healed.” Not only is their boast self-promotional in nature but their belief is a fallacy. Firstly, healing is a process conducted by Nature–no single individual does the healing. A person may have been to one doctor or healer after another without being apparently cured; however, the healing process may already have begun without the person’s knowledge and awareness. Thus, at a certain point of the healing process the person finds himself completely cured and he ignorantly attributes this to the last healer that attempted to cure him. And this “healer” arrogantly considers the healing to be the result of his or her own personal powers and prowess. Secondly, a person is not curable unless he subconsciously and consciously wants to be cured–when he is psychologically ready to release the malady. When this is released through self-determination and faith he finds himself cured, and this often occurs no matter to what healer he goes to or the form of therapy that he undergoes at that time. Thirdly, some illnesses are karmic in nature, and only when the karmic lesson is learnt or the karmic force spent and compensated will the inharmonious bodily or psychological condition disappear. Again, this may occur spontaneously at a time when the person visits a healer and without the healer actually having anything directly to do with the healing process, nor ever having acted as a catalyst of bodily harmony.

One of the negative traits of the so-called spiritual Masters who present themselves as teachers of meditation and metaphysics is that they do not offer constant guidance or availability to their students. They are here one day, and in the next they are off somewhere where it is almost impossible for one to contact or communicate with them. If one encounters a problem in one’s metaphysical practices the Guru is not available to offer assistance. This is an irresponsible act of omission on the part of the so-called Guru. In many cases this can be construed as the incompetence or inability of the Guru to provide true beneficial guidance. It can also be assumed that their motive for teaching metaphysics or branches of it in the first place was simply for its monetary returns. The true metaphysical Guru knows that spiritual teachings cannot be given in one gulp, but morsels at a time. Spiritual growth is a process and the Guru has to be constantly around to nurture the unfoldment of his students. Frauds normally take off and break communication after a few sessions with their victimized students.

Genuine Masters and Adepts as a rule, also do not offer any services of instant metaphysical development. A true Master does not perform the work that the disciple ought to be doing for himself. Self-involvement in spiritual work unfolds a divine character, and this is what the Guru wishes of his students. There is also more merit and is more honorable doing metaphysical work and exercises for oneself instead of having others do them for us. For instance, which do you think is more praiseworthy, running in a race and reaching the finish line by one’s own efforts, or to be carried there by the Master on his shoulders?

Concerning the instant transference of power, or the raising of the kundalini by the Master, there are many points that the true Master would consider. Such transference is a blessing and is given only after the disciple had applied the disciplines for some time–often years, and not given by the genuine Master at the very inception of a student’s metaphysical career–especially not on a massive scale. This is an irresponsible act on the part of the Guru for not everyone is physically or etherically prepared for such an empowerment.

Many Spiritual Masters (so-called) are a disappointment. Oft times they declare, whether implicitly or explicitly, that their kundalini have been permanently raised, or that they have attained enlightenment or are in constant contact with the Ascended Masters. Should this be true one awaits glorious things coming from them–from their minds and hearts. One would expect them to be divine in their everyday expressions; original and creative in their literary works, and selfless in fulfilling their missions. Their works would be of an unsurpassed quality even surpassing the state of genius, however, as it is, their products lack originality and they produce no novel concepts or precepts that reveal heretofore hidden facets of Truth, or strive to uplift humanity even higher on the scale of evolution in a balanced manner. Most of their written works are too simplistic, they merely scratch the surface of metaphysical thought and often than not, are plagiarized versions of other authors’ works. What is pitiful is that their ego can still be clearly seen–and they are blind to this. They are so keen in criticizing others but fail to look into their own soul and correct innate faults. Those with a little knowledge are so quick in attacking others and in speaking the loudest. These undeveloped “Gurus” give all sorts of “plausible” excuses for their short-comings, for their extravagant way of life, for their creature-comfort-which only shows that they are self-centered and focused upon the personality level. Hopefully this condition would change in this new millenium.

Dogmas, false religious teachings and revelations are often taught and spread by false mystics, bigoted priests, channels and paranormals. They do this for fame and to instill fear in the masses so that the masses would turn to them for assistance–and this, of course, is designed to fill their personal bank account. Some psychics foolishly predict the future revealing dire cataclysms and catastrophes that would occur sometime in the near future. Although most are deceivers and malicious in their intent, there are a few who are sincere but mistaken as to the source of their psychic impressions. They regard the visions that they receive as coming from God or the Ascended Masters. They do not realize that most of what they psychically see are mere thoughtforms created and radiated by those who are psychologically unbalanced or who are mentally disturbed. Substantially, these thoughtforms have no real power to manifest on the physical plane or affect it unless we give them power through our constant attention and fear. Even if visions did flow from the Divine Cosmic Mind, they are often distorted by the unpurified subconscious minds of psychics so that a clear understanding of the picture is not acquired and presented. Again, even if a vision of a catastrophe from God was correctly received there is always a possibility of preventing its occurrence or decreasing the magnitude of its effects through the proper metaphysical procedures. However, those who are self-deceived are often adamant that what they “see” must occur. Below we would like to quote a few scriptural verses for your consideration. They are related to this paragraph.

For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:11)

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. (Jeremiah 23:21)

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:16)

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! (Ezekial 13:3)

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. (Matthew 7:15)

Clairvoyance | Voluntary And Involuntary Clairvoyance

Malcolm Moorhouse asked:

The direct translation of the word “clairvoyance” is “clear sight”.It is defined as the ability to perceive or even see with the “mind’s eye” something that is going on in a remote location without any previous knowledge of the event. Most paranormal professionals and enthusiasts believe that psychic ability resides (albeit unlocked) within every human being. Their belief is that most people do not tap into their clairvoyance because they are either too unaware or unwilling to unveil it, and that it takes perseverance to develop one’s own personal psychic abilities. In other words, everyone has a second sight but it has to be awakened. Don’t worry – you don’t have to obtain a tarot reading or call a psychic phone reading line. It just takes some introspection.

There are two basic types of clairvoyant abilities – voluntary and involuntary. Voluntary clairvoyance is generally seen as a good, positive thing whereas involuntary is usually considered dark, negative, and possibly even dangerous. Most psychics maintain that voluntary clairvoyance is obtained through good, healthy, and generous living, plus the willingness to reach deep within one’s own psyche and see invisible things. Involuntary clairvoyance is forced upon its victim, and the person has no control over when and where it happens. In this state, the involuntarily clairvoyant person is generally believed to be open to malevolent spiritual influences and may face the danger of being totally possessed by a malicious being.

Many people trying to develop their clairvoyant abilities tend to assume that once they have had a breakthrough, they will now know everything that is going to happen for the rest of their lives. Learned psychics urge: This is not the truth! It takes caution and proper cultivation of the psychic abilities to have a healthy connection to the unseen world. It is also important not to push your limits or the limits of the unseen energy surrounding you. People who study the paranormal insist that to do so is to play with fire and possibly invite dark influences into your life. These people usually put it something like this: In the physical world, things are not as subject to change as they are in the unseen world or – as some call it – the world of desires. Because of this, professional clairvoyants and studiers of the paranormal world insist that people serious about developing their clairvoyance be trained before they try anything too advanced.

Many parapsychologists suggest that human beings are born clairvoyant and most remain so at least for the first year of life. Dependent on his or her environment and his or her own development of personal spirituality, the child may maintain this increased level of sensitivity or see it diminish, if not disappear entirely. These psychics suggest that it takes positive clairvoyance to truly and accurately interpret the unseen world, and warn against the accidental cultivation of negative energy and involuntary or negative clairvoyance that invite negativity and evil influences into the lives of everyone involved.

Clairaudience is a similar type of psychic ability, except that it entails hearing things that are otherwise invisible or inaudible to other people. Considered by many psychics to be the voices of spirits in another world, most people claim to hear the voices in their minds or “inside” their heads, rather than through their physical ears – although some claim to hear as though it were from the physical world, despite the lack of a sensory source.
